Postcode to council
The postcode match uses the public postcodes.io service and ONS-backed geography fields. It identifies a council area; it does not provide the address-specific bin date.
Collection dates
Dates and property exceptions stay with each council’s official checker. Binday does not silently call a competitor endpoint or publish a copied date feed.
Policy guides
England’s household guidance comes from GOV.UK; the bank-holiday calendar comes from GOV.UK bank holidays.
Directory inventory
The route inventory was read from the public target sitemap on 15 October 2026: 11,714 unique routes. It is used for coverage planning, not as a hidden runtime dependency.
